Cascode has a limited quantity of ex-Datanet stock. These are simply divided into the following categories:
Brand new surplus Datanet Alerters 2AR3 or 2AR2
- Grade A seconds 2AR2 – refurbished Alerters that have had minimal use in the field.
- Grade A seconds 2AR3
- Grade B seconds 2AR2 – refurbished Alerters that may show some signs of moderate use.
- Grade B seconds 2AR3
All refurbished Alerters come with a 12-month guarantee and are supplied with smoke coloured cases and clips and Cascode branding.
Datanet Alerters Repairs Service
Cascode is proud to be the only approved service centre for legacy Datanet Alerters.
With the same simple pricing structure that customers have come to expect from the Datanet in-house servicing, Cascode will diagnose and repair all models of Datanet 2A Alerters.
All of our service and design equipment is calibrated and traceable to approved and recognised radio techniques. In fact, it is likely to be the very same equipment that designed and manufactured your Datanet Alerters.
2AR2 and 2AR3
The Datanet 2AR2 is an entry level Alerter using POCSAG.
The 2AR3 has all the features of the 2AR2 but with the added feature of a real-time-clock function to record received alerts and on/off functions: easily monitor calls received by the user.

2A-SR
Station end backup mobilising receiver using wide area paging.
All critical mobilising systems require backups in the event of primary landline; PSTN, ISDN, ADSL or radio link failure. The 2A-SR receiver assures this backup by providing an alternative trigger for most mobilising system encoders.
Using conventional wide area radio paging, (in the event of normal link failure), a simple phone call or network paging request is all that is needed to initiate mobilisation. The 2A-SR’s design means that this product can be used as a direct replacement to existing receivers carrying out this specific function.

2A Programmer
The user-friendly Windows programming tool supports a host of features. The original Datanet software has been retained and will be subject to enhancements through downloadable updates as necessary.
The Alerter is only programmable by communications departments before first use but can be reprogrammed at any time by designated persons on recall of the Alerter. These settings cannot be configured by the user out in the field.
Programming kits are available with associated cables, which can also be purchased separately in additional quantities.
